Our client is a global group professionally producing yeast and baking ingredients, who has 42 factories in 25 countries. It takes a leading role in the baking business in America, Latin American and Asia and well known as an ingredients supplier in the world.
Our client is growing its business in China very quickly and owns 5 yeast factories, one ingredients factory and one fat and oil factory. Its sales channel reaches out to every city in China. The products are exported to East Asia (Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Philippines and Indonesia), Oceania (Australia, New Zealand, and the islands in Asia Pacific), America and the CIS.

Position: Global Capex Procurement Manager
Report to: Client Group Head of Procurement
Region: Client Central Team
Subordinates: None
Location: Asia Pacific / Flexible, ideally in Shanghai, China
Education: Bachelor degree or above Languages: Fluent written and spoken English and Chinese
Working Experience: 10 years minimum experience in Capex Procurement roles in the food, oil & gas or manufacturing industries

Main responsibilities:

To contribute to the company’s profitability by effectively reducing the cost of all Capex expenditures globally either by procuring directly or coordinating with regional procurement teams. This will include all Capex elements in Greenfields, expansions and running Capex demands in all regions.

• Identify low cost country suppliers for equipment, civils, design and engineering to be used globally. 
• Negotiate all strategic contracts and coordinate procurement execution with all regions.
• Support & Create the basic procurement processes on Capex equipment definitions in all regions.
• Reduce the company’s Capex Procurement cost and support its strategic objectives.
• Lead the client’s Global Capex Procurement Drive & Lead strategic approaches on Capex specific initiatives in all regions so regional procurement & technical teams can build up their regional capabilities.
• Establish 1st class procurement procedures including Standard purchasing contracts, Risk Management, and Create strategic relationships with specific equipment, design and engineering suppliers.
• 100% compliance to transparency, anti-bribery, business principles, competition law & company policies.
• Regional & Global Liaisons including be a member of the Global Procurement team, interact with all regional operations & technical teams and with the
• Global Technology Group (GTG) as required, liaise with other client Group of companies as required.
• Provide monthly project evolution and cost reports on global capex cost drivers i.e. steel, concrete, construction, etc.
