The company, headquartered in Finland, is listed on the Helsinki Exchanges in Finland. The Group has offices and operations in Finland, Northern America, France, United Kingdom, Germany, China, Sweden, Malaysia, Japan and Australia.
Its core business is environmental measurement, especially weather measurement, and corresponding industrial measurements. The business is conducted by three divisions: Meteorology(MET); Weather Critical Operations(WCO) that consists of Airport, Defence, Road and Wind Energy Segments; Controlled Environment(CEN).
The first China office was established in 1993, presently it has three offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen, with some 50 employees.
They import, market, sell and provide after-sales service of electronic measurement instruments and weather observation systems.

Possible Age Range:Probably within the range of 35-45 years old
Education:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Automation or related subjects
Languages:Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin), Excellent written and spoken English

Main Responsibilities:

Your main responsibility will be to grow and generate revenue by maximizing the sales of client's Controlled Environment business area (CEN) in all its business segments. Your geographical focus area is the Chinese market.
This is a leadership role that includes developing sales strategies and leading a high performance sales team consisting of 15 dedicated sales professionals. The position requires a demonstrated systematic process approach to sales and marketing, as well as superior management skills to effectively balance the sales resources between the three demanding business segments.

  • Developing and maintaining a systematic CRM program
  • Developing and implementing plans, programs, and policies relating to the sales functions including leading, motivating and coaching sales staff and teams
  • Balancing and coordinating sales resources between market segments, through sales managers reporting to you, optimizing and maximizing sales of products and/or services
  • Aligning all activities with the business area strategy
  • Implementing the Key Account Management process in China
  • Developing incentive payment and prospecting plans, promotional programs, account strategies either nationally, regionally, and/or by district
  • Providing advice and counseling to senior management on qualified account identification, sales potentials, strategies, and sales targets

Job Requirements:

  • Experienced leader and innovator with strong people focus
  • BSc degree or similar with eight to ten years’ relevant experience
  • Team player with ability to develop and implement the global sales (and marketing) process as part of the "regional managers" team
  • Articulate communicator and negotiator
  • Systematic approach to sales and marketing.
  • Experience in using latest CRM tools. Knowledge of Oracle EBS is an advantage
  • Understanding of what it means to be in the front line role of sales and marketing
  • Ability to balance company strategy with customer focus
  • Excellent command of English is a must
